CMG Sports prides itself on being a full service firm. However, we feel it is in our clients' best interest to outsource some of the financially related services. Our partner companies in these matters have been investigated fully and found to be compliant in all areas and of the highest reputation. If our client's are not comfortable with our referrals, CMG Sports will find a suitable replacement.
Contract Negotiation
Our team of agents have several hundreds of NHL contracts negotiated successfully as well as a deep knowledge of all Major Junior contracts. We have an excellent feel of the market and player values on a daily basis and we use this knowledge to find the best situation for our clients to maximize their career value and longevity.
   
Media Skills Development
Our media coaching and consulting services help our clients increase their value and public image through newspaper, radio and television interviews. CMG offers tips on selecting the proper attire to responding to difficult questions from the media. CMG's base fee includes two hours of media coaching. Additional special media training is available for an extra fee.
 
   
Tax Planning
CMG provides tax planning and filing through an affiliation with a multitude of certified accounting firms throughout North America. Depending on your needs, CMG can provide year-round tax and expense management or just end-of-year taxes. (Fees priced separately.)
   
Life After Hockey
CMG encourages its clients to participate in the NHLPA's Life After Hockey programs. As part of its base fee, CMG assists clients in analyzing information for post-career opportunities. Members of CMG's board of advisers will serve as a network to careers ranging from stock brokerages to high-profile media positions.
   
Family Advisor
For those players contemplating NCAA hockey, CMG Sports can assist you and your family in making the right decisions. Our involvement is done within NCAA regulations, with no contracts or fees.

CMG will help in the selection of providers to address any possible needs in your benefits coverage and provide practical solutions to get the coverage you need when you need it.
 
   
Player Line of Credit
If the need arises, CMG may be able to help its clients secure a line of credit through its banking relationships.

CMG Sports has begun a new phase of their client development, conducting regional strength and conditioning camps for players of all levels. Crimson Conditioning Camps have been held in New Brunswick, Canada as well as in St. Louis, MO. In time we hope to hold camps in locations throughout North America in an effort to assist all of our clients in skill, strength, and conditioning development for the duration of their careers.
   
Litigation and Arbitration
CMG's team of mentors (located in both Canada and the U.S.) will serve as a partner with each CMG player. CMG mentors can assist players with legal issues from endorsements and housing contracts to establishing charitable foundations or drafting prenuptial agreements.
 
   
Financial Planning
For U.S.-based clients, CMG's Financial Services Group provides one-on-one money management. The CMG Financial Services Group knows the importance of player investments and the security of knowing and trusting your advisers. CMG's Financial Team consists of advisors who are independent from CMG Sports, eliminating any conflict of interest. CMG also partners with a Canadian financial planner for clients working there.
   
Estate Planning
CMG and its legal and accounting partners will work to develop estate planning that meets the client's objectives and overall strategies. CMG will keep clients informed of tax and estate laws that may impact their future as well as strategies that take advantage of such changes.
   
Endorsements
CMG's network of business connections and network of professional athletes helps track and seek out opportunities for endorsements and public appearances. In addition to seeking events that reinforce the player's image and fulfill their desires, CMG serves as the client's primary contact and coordinates all details.
   
Investment Counseling
CMG's Financial Services Group will assist players in their investments. In addition to providing investment strategies, CMG will conduct research on a specific industry and provide recommendations for the player's decisions.
